Roscommon Racecourse is a right-handed oval-shaped Irish horse racing venue situated in County Roscommon. Home of the Connacht National Handicap Chase and Lenebane Stakes, it hosts both jumps and flat racing.
The chase course has inviting fences on it, meaning less than fluent jumpers get a chance. A full circuit of Roscommon is about a mile-and-a-quarter.
As the track is sharp, with just three furlongs from the final bend to the winning post, it suits horses with speed.
Roscommon races only take place from late spring (May) to autumn (September). There is one graded race on the final day of their year, the Grade 3 Kilbegnet Novice Chase over two miles.
