The Australian Spring Carnival kicks off with the Sydney Spring Carnival with races split between Royal Randwick and Rosehill Gardens. The feature races are the $1 million Golden Rose and $500,000 Epsom Handicap. The major races are in the Melbourne Cup Carnival hosted at Flemington Racecouse which include the Victoria Derby, Crown Oaks, Emirates Stakes and the flagship race being the $3 million Melbourne Cup.
